Guest chef Boon Kim Chin from Grand Hyatt Singapore visits Grand Hyatt Taipei
From 21 to 30 October, Guest Chef Boon Kim Chin from Grand Hyatt Singapore is invited to present authentic Singaporean cuisine at Café. In addition to the large variety of dishes currently available, the guest chef has prepared classic Singaporean food combining Chinese, Malay and Indian styles, from starters, soups and Malay specialities to renowned satay delicacies. Located on Orchard Road in Singapore, Grand Hyatt Singapore is in the centre of the city's commercial and entertainment district, just a 30-minute drive fromSingapore's Changi Airport. Chef Boon Kim Chin was born in Malaysia and joined Grand Hyatt Singapore in 1995. Many years of hard work and practice have given him solid skills and a varied style. Chef Boon has risen through the ranks to become Sous Chef of StraitsKitchen, which has given him the chance to showcase his skills with traditional cuisine, building on almost 19 years of experience. Chef Boon has made it his guiding principle to create traditional food, focusing on its essence and on diners' health. In keeping with this concept, he has devoted much time and effort to finding the best way to explore the best flavours. This is the first time Chef Boon has visited Taiwan and during the ten-day promotion, he plans to showcase more than 30 typical dishes, among them Marinated Mutton with Malay Spices, Marinated Chicken, Assorted Satay, Singapore Chilli Crab, Stir-Fried Long Bean, Singapore Laksa, Pandan Crepe, Bubur Cha Cha and many more.
